In the run-up to Christmas, I'm getting out on the road. Through the encouragement of other writing friends, I've started selling my books at local craft fairs. It's been incredible. Not only have I sold a few books, but I've met some inspiring and creative people. It's been a privilege to see all the amazing talents people have and how they love to create.

I've got several events coming up in the next few months, mainly around Yorkshire but there is a Nottingham edition. If you're around for any of them, please come and say hi 👋

18th November - Local Authors Book Fair, Clements Hall, York

A great opportunity to meet authors from across York and buy their books! I love supporting other authors so I'm looking forward to meeting them at this event.

30th November - Christmas Fair at Stapleford Care Centre, Nottingham

I'm going back to my roots! Being raised in Nottingham, not far from Stapleford, I'm excited to be selling books at this one. It's set to be a great event with a tombola, a variety of stalls and more.

2nd December - Book Fair at The Ridings Shopping Centre, Wakefield

Through Promoting Yorkshire Authors, I'll be selling books alongside writers from all over Yorkshire. There's a huge range of books on offer, from fiction to non-fiction and some brilliant people too. Come along and find the perfect Christmas gift. We'll be at The Ridings Shopping Centre all day.

7th December - Christmas Craft Evening at Bluebird Bakery, Acomb, York

I love Bluebird Bakery in Acomb. So when I heard they were doing a Thursday crafts evening, I jumped at the chance for a table. It'll be a night of crafts, drinks and Christmas cheer!

9th December - Vintage Crafts Fair at The Milton Rooms, Malton

This fair is one of my regular fairs and often coincides with the infamous Malton food market. Come along to taste the best of Yorkshire produce and have a nosey at some wonderful craft and handmade stalls. From 10am to 3pm.

20th December - Christmas Crafts Evening, Northallerton Town Hall

An outdoor Christmas market in Northallerton, the week before Christmas. The perfect time to wrap up warm and sell some books. I haven't attended this one before so we'll see how it goes.

Phew! I've got quite a few months. Thanks again for all your support and maybe I'll see you at one of the fairs.

Have happy days,

Lyds x
